Mark Coggins

Mark Coggins is Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan Asia Pacific. Under his leadership, Kaplan Asia Pacific has developed a comprehensive portfolio of training and educational offerings in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Prior to joining Kaplan Asia in 2003, Mark held a variety of senior management roles in the investment banking industry. He was Head of Equity Research and a member of global product team at Banque Paribas in Hong Kong and then Head of the Asian Equity business at HSBC based in Hong Kong.
Mark joined PriceWaterhouse Coopers in London as a Chartered Accountant in the mid-1990s before coming to Hong Kong, responsible for capital market training and consulting.
Mark holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from the University of London. He is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Anita Kwok

Anita Kwok took up the position of Chief Financial Officer for Kaplan Asia Pacific in September 2006. In this capacity, she oversees all aspects of the finance and regulatory functions as well as the operational control and efficiency of the region.
Anita received her chartered accountancy training in London and began her accounting career with Ernst & Young in Hong Kong. She joined with Noble Group after being qualified Chartered Accountant and subsequently joined Nuance-Watson (HK) as Financial Controller.
Anita holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Warwick and an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
Lindsay Underwood

Lindsay Underwood joined Kaplan in May 2008, responsible for all people-related functions including performance management, talent development, organisational design, executive recruitment, compensation and change management initiatives at the company.
Prior to joining Kaplan, she held a number of senior management roles in human resources. She was the Head of Graduate Recruitment at HSBC in London and Head of L&D at HSBC Asia Pacific. She was also Head of Talent Management, Asia Pacific at ABN AMRO.
Lindsay graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from the University of Southampton in England. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Psychology from the City University of Hong Kong and a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources from the University of Westminster in London. She is also an accredited executive coach.
Basil Cleveland

Basil Cleveland took up the current position in October 2009, responsible for enhancing relationships with our partner universities and developing new partnerships across the globe. From 2008 to 2009, he was in charge for establishing the US-Sino Pathway Programme, a Kaplan China consortium of five Universities.
Prior to joining Kaplan, Basil held a variety of academic roles at Cambridge College in the US and taught at Boston University for a few years.
Basil holds a PhD in Philosophy and Poetry and a Master's degree of Arts in Creative Writing from Boston University, as well as a Bachelor's degree of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in the US.
Jessica Chen
Vice President, Business Development

Jessica Chen joined the Kaplan Asia Pacific team in August 2007, responsible for the region's strategic initiatives and projects. She has been instrumental in leading numerous diverse transactions since 2008. Before joining Kaplan, she served as Senior Manager at KPMG's Transaction Services division in Hong Kong where she led a number of financial due diligence projects for various industries in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Earlier in her career, she held progressive positions leading to Manager in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services division at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver and then in Hong Kong.
Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting and MIS from Simon Fraser University in Canada. She is a Chartered Accountant with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Maia Sharpley

Maia Sharpley joined Kaplan Asia Pacific as Vice President of @Kaplan in July 2010. @Kaplan, a startup operation provides online programs from Kaplan Professional and Higher Education, as well as from leading universities and education providers to students across Asia, with an initial focus on Singapore and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining the Asia Pacific team Maia was based in Sydney focused on Australian Higher Education strategy having previously been in the Head Office in the U.S. managing cross-divisional strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Kaplan Maia was a member of the Chancellors cabinet at The NYC Department of Education spearheading various Children First reforms. Maia started her career as a management consultant working with Fortune 200 companies.
Maia holds an MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a BA from Trinity College in Connecticut.
Lisa Yip
Vice President, Hong Kong
Lisa Yip took up her post as Vice President, Hong Kong in August 2011, overseeing both Kaplan Financial Accountancy and Kaplan Higher Education divisions. Joined Kaplan in 1996, she has held various roles involving business and product sales and development.
In 2009, she was appointed as Business Director, Greater China, during which she achieved in introducing the ACCA e-learning programme to Mainland China. She started the publishing business in 2008 for launching HKICPA AAT and PBE examination materials. She also succeeded in leading her team to obtain HKICPA and HKCAAVQ accreditation for the Kaplan Conversion Programme in 2006. She has been a lecturer on strategy and information management for more than four years.
Lisa holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Sei Ling Ng
Vice President, Hong Kong
Sei Ling Ng took up her post as Vice President, Hong Kong in August 2011, responsible for the financial markets and language training businesses. She joined FTC Kaplan in 2006 as manager of financial markets. Prior to joining Kaplan, she served as Business Manager, Organisational Training Services at SGS Hong Kong Ltd.
Sei Ling holds a Bachelor's degree of Science in Biology from the National University of Singapore.
